How It Started
Founded in 2024 by Fi Burge of Concept 2 Store Consultancy, The Product Place Network grew from Fi's 25+ years of experience working across the gift and creative industries, from product development and sales to trade shows and retail.
Throughout her career, Fi recognised that whilst trade shows and industry events brought businesses together, there was rarely enough time to properly connect, exchange ideas or build lasting relationships.
Through her consultancy work, she also kept hearing the same question:
“Where can we find a network group that focuses specifically on our industry? There isn’t always time to network at gift fairs and trade shows.”
And so, The Product Place Network was created.
A welcoming community bringing together independent business owners, designers, makers, retailers and industry specialists who all share a connection to the world of product and design.
It's not about formal networking or simply exchanging business cards. It's about getting to know the people behind the businesses, sharing knowledge, discovering new opportunities and having conversations with others who understand your industry.
Whether you're just starting out, developing your next product or running an established business, there's always something to learn and someone new to meet.
Today, through our in-person events, informal meet-ups and VIP Membership, The Product Place continues to bring people together, encourage collaboration and support independent businesses at every stage.
